V-Law General Assembly Legislative Review 2022 Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. You may remember the Inaugural Women's Equality Summit in 2020. The event kicked off with a team of female skydivers from the Women's Skydiving Network. VARatifyERA Director Kati Hornung, NWPC-VA President Andrea Miller, First Lady Pamela Northam, and Pro Team-Co Founder Melanie Curtis were our honored guests. Legislators were invited to share their legislation that was related to women and equality. We are using the same formula this year, but instead of an in-person event we are sticking to Zoom. Legislators will provide a ten minute discussion of a bill related to women and equality. They are encouraged to provide an overview, key talking points, and requested actions from NWPC-VA members and invited guests. We want to build public support and awareness around issues that are important to women in the Commonwealth. We are inviting legislators from each side of the aisle to encourage women in elected office to work together to build a better Virgina for women and families. |
